What does "Skip ads" mean?

What exactly does “Skip ads” mean?

The additional option “Skip ads” makes it possible to bypass mandatory commercial breaks on 27 German-speaking private channels, both in Replay TV and in recordings.

So you only need this function for those channels where such commercial breaks are mandatory. On all other channels, ad breaks can be fast-forwarded as usual.

The feature is used directly during playback: instead of waiting for the ads, you can skip the entire block with a single click or press of a button.
