Bridge Mode
Currently, our router cannot be set to bridge mode. We are evaluating whether we can offer this feature in the future. However, our router supports DMZ.
NAT / Port Forwarding
Yes, NAT and port forwarding can be configured on our router. These functions can be set up via the web interface under "Network Setting" > "NAT" > "Port Forwarding".
Static IP Address
At the moment, we do not offer static IP addresses. We are evaluating whether we can provide this service in the future.
Is it possible to use a third-party router or media converter?
No – since we operate on all network layers (L1–L3) of Swisscom, Sunrise, and local providers, we can only use routers that are supported by these providers.
We have chosen the Zyxel AX7501 router and do not support any other routers.
Does Galaxus Internet use CG NAT?
For fiber connections, we use a public IPv4 address and do not employ CG NAT.
Which fiber networks does Galaxus Internet use?
We utilize the fiber networks of all available providers, including Swisscom, Sunrise, and over 70 local providers such as Leunet and Glattnet. The provisioning and signal on the respective connection are managed by Sunrise, while we handle monitoring and support. This means you receive the same Galaxus customer service on all fiber networks in Switzerland.
