Bridge Mode The router can be directly put into bridge mode via the web interface. However, an IPv4 is required for this (see below). We cannot provide support for devices in bridge mode, as they merely pass the network on to the customer's personal router device / infrastructure. This is beyond our support capabilities.
NAT / Port Forwarding
Yes, it is possible to configure NAT and port forwarding on our router. There is also an IP and port filtering option available in the firewall.
Static IP Address
Currently, we cannot offer a static IP address. We are currently evaluating whether we can offer this in the future.
IP Version and CG NAT?
We use IPv6 without CG NAT for cable internet. An IPv4 address with CG NAT can be assigned upon request to customer service. In IPv4 mode, the device supports independent switching to bridge mode via admin mode and thus the assignment of a public IPv4 address.
It is not possible to assign a fixed IP address. Direct access should be resolved via a DynDNS provider whenever possible. We recommend using your own VPN when accessing your home network via the Internet.
Which Cable Lines Does Galaxus Internet Use?
We use the cable network of Sunrise and various local partners. You can learn more about availability at your location directly through our Line Check.
