How do I activate eSIM on my mobile device?

As soon as your plan starts, you’ll get an e-mail with a QR code to activate your eSIM.

Please make sure your smartphone is connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi or mobile network). An active Internet connection is required to download the eSIM profile onto your smartphone. Open the e-mail on a second device and display the QR code. Then, scan the QR code with your smartphone.

Apple iPhone

1. Go to Settings and select «Mobile Data».
2. Select «Add Data Plan».
3. Scan the QR code you received in an e-mail or in your Cockpit.
4. Select «Add Data Plan» again.
5. Tap «OK» on the uncertified data plan message.

Samsung

1. Go to Settings and select «Connection».
2. Tap «SIM card manager».
3. Select «Add mobile plan».
4. Your smartphone will automatically search for an active data plan.
5. Scroll down to «Other ways to add plans» and select «Add using QR code».
6. Scan the QR code you received in an e-mail or in your Cockpit.
7. What until the Galaxus Mobile mobile plan is detected, then tap «Add».
8. Once the plan is registered, select «OK» to activate it.
9. You can now view the eSIM in «SIM card manager».

Huawei

1. In Settings, go to «Mobile networks».
2. Go to «SIM management».
3. Select «Add eSIM».
4. Your smartphone will automatically search for an active data plan.
5. Scan the QR code you received in an e-mail or in your Cockpit.
6. Your device will download and install the configuration file. The eSIM will be enabled by default.
7. You can now view the eSIM in «SIM management».

Google Pixel

1. In Settings, go to «Network & internet».
2. Tap the + sign next to «Mobile network».
3. Tap «Download a SIM instead?». Select «Yes» to confirm.
4. The following prompt should appear: «Scan QR code».
5. Scan the QR code you received in an e-mail or in your Cockpit.
6. You should see a message confirming that the Galaxus Mobile data plan has been detected.
7. Enter the ePIN you received in the e-mail with the QR code.
8. Your eSIM profile will now be downloaded.
